The raw material is the wool of a specific type of sheep known for its small size and high strength. The production of these carpets requires exceptional craftsmanship, passed down from generation to generation, as well as a large dose of patience. The production of each of these unique pieces takes 1 to 4 months - depending on the size of the carpet. To maintain a Berber carpet, it is advisable to dust the carpet regularly and gently. Ideally, opt for a vacuum cleaner with a soft nozzle. In case of stains, dab quickly with absorbent paper, using baking soda if necessary, before completing the treatment with vacuuming.
